Back on track with increased focus after a sloppy week 2 during the play-offs which made for a small profitable weekend. I do keep stakes rather low because my confidence and intensity when it comes down to these play-offs stays on the low side compared to the regular season
Play-off 1 and the race for the Championship has become wide open again after Anderlecht managed to take the deserved home win against Leader Club Brugge and are now only 3 points behind with 7 matches to go. The way the play-offs work in Belgium is quite special. The Top 6 teams after the 30 week regular season get to fight for the championship and the european tickets. The big catch is that the points they earned in the regular season get halved. This is done only to make it all more exciting for the viewers and get more money for the television contract. This tends to give the leaders a big mental hammer on the head because they see their lead havled while the ones who come from behind get a mental boost. Anderlecht were 12 points behind a couple weeks ago which they managed to reduce to 3 points by just winning 1 match. The mental aspect will be very interesting this next week and I am looking for some potential collapse and rise situations.
