My Black and White drawing made into a graphic
Here is the full size:
I played with this image yesterday and today to make this graphic to put onto things.
The original piece was done this past October for #inktober. And in fact I did it in transit in the UK whilst staying in an airbnb waiting for our house to be ready there.
I had based my Inktober sketches on witches.
And thus I was able to indulge my love of the female form in my black and white drawings.
After having a good sit down with myself trying to find foucs, as I talked about in my last post, I thought yesterday I'd address my body of #inktober sketches and play with them graphically to make new things.
This piece was a combination of a free use oval frame that I enlarged and then added and played with to make the outer decoration of this piece. I created it to sell on my society6 pageas well as others, hopefully.
I think it looks pretty good on things.
I was so happy with so much engagement on my last post.
It's nice to see that other creative people also struggle with this idea of focus. And for me it has never been that I don't have enough inspiration, but that I often have TOO much. And it is trying to divide my ideas into tangible finished pieces and to also divide my days accordingly to involve finished pieces and setting things out into the world for sale.
The internet has made a wonderful change and opportunity for the artist.
We have many more outlets in which to sell and share our things which is great. Yet, the ability to 'do it all ourselves' is tempting and good, but in some ways can leave us feeling we are always "Chasing our tails" and trying to catch up.
It is the balance between Creation and Mercantilism that I am trying to perfect.
It is an ongoing process and I am glad that I get this platform and all of you in which to discuss it and also to learn and share. I love that we Steemians are there to bounce ideas off or simply share our troubles and frustrations with, as well as sharing our conquests.
I hope all of you find a moment today to hone that balance between creation and sharing, between reading and enjoying as well as posting, and between living and simply reveling in a day.
