My Entry for the Pay-it-Forward Curation Contest - Week 51

Okay, so this is the first time I've tried my hand at curating, but I think I'm going to like it, especially since my first selection is one of those things dear to my memory and dear to the planet too. But first, this contest by @pifc is available for anyone to get on into right here until midnight Saturday: @pifc/closed-week-51-pay-it-forward-curation-contest.

Selection 1: @bghandmade
@bghandmade/our-compost-pxeyajx4

This is one of those things that any backyard gardener can do to improve their soil year over year, and this article focuses on how to do it without having to buy a whole bunch of equipment and supplements (with the exception of straw). Bonus points for the roughly sepia tone photos of … well, dirt … set all the way off by @bghandmade's bracelets!

Selection 2: @grandiosae
@grandiosae/trying-to-make-sense-a-freewrite-poetry

This is a poetic freewrite on which the prompt was the word “buffer.” The poet managed to spin out of this much of the angst of modern life dominated by fragile technology, and the struggle to get ahead of poverty and be rewarded – even on Steemit! Getting food, respect, and crypto, and how hard it can all be – it's all here in this post!
