I love finding new under-valued Steemians and this contest is a great excuse to find fabulous bloggers whose post aren't getting the attention they deserve. In case you aren't aware, the Pay It Forward Curation Contest is a weekly challenge from @pifc to find bloggers to promote.
If you want to know some of the things I look for when curating for Pay-it-Forward, please check out this article on How to Get Curated.
Here are this week's selections - reputation 55 or under.
Selection #1 - @owasco (rep 54)
System, a Freewrite
This may "just" be a freewrite, but I love how whimsical this author is. The lesson of "always learn" is applicable to us all - keeping our minds active as we age is a great way to keep in good mental shape. As this author shows us, it's also a great way to make sure we spend our children's inheritance!
Do give this one a read. At the time of writing, the post had an expected payout of 0.18 STU.
Selection #2 - @aaradilla (rep 39)
Painting in Japan #2
Check this one out!!! This blogger has been with us for less than a week - this is the third post - and look at this!
Okay, I'm a photographer. I love taking pictures wherever I go, but this artist is just amazing - in the old-fashioned way of fabulous! To be able to sit there, and take the time to paint the scenery wherever you go is just fantastic, isn't it @trincowski. (I tagged you because I know you'll love this painter.)
Have I raved enough to make you give this newbie your support?
At the time of writing, this post had only 0.02 STU to its name, but then, I grabbed it as quickly as I could... Get in quick before Curie gets a chance to visit!
Flash-Back of the Week
This has proven fun - and is not meant to be part of the contest, just a fun extra. This week, I look back at:
Week 24 - @wilnonis (now rep 55)
Happy late easter!
This blogger hasn't been super active on Steem recently, and maybe it's because we don't support enough... I know some days I feel discouraged as well - seeing others who have been on here less time than myself, yet always getting high payouts.
Anyway, I think this image is a cute one. We get to see the artistic process as well. That always gets a few extra points with me.
These are my selections for this week. Please visit them and give them some love - even if you don't have voting power to spare, a kind word can make all the difference!
Note: All images remain property of the original poster. I've only used their locations.
Previous weeks
(Please consider entering this contest! If you no longer want to be tagged, let me know and I'll take the @ sign off it. People in bold have been active within the past month.* Designates someone involved with PIFC within the past month. Italics means they've been featured as a flash-back.)
Running totals:
Week 45: 52 out of 102 featured bloggers are currently active = 56%
Week 51: 64 out of 114 featured bloggers are currently active = 56%
My personal observations - if you want to stay in the game...
- Don't restrict yourself to a particular niche - contrary to standard blog advice.
- Get involved in at least one community on Discord. Below are three of the communities I'm involved in right now.
- Support others, engage, meet people.
