Our Homeschool (2019) Diary #1: Boundless Learning at the Abu Dhabi Science Festival

Our First Homeschool Diary for the Year

Oh well, we're on the second year of our homeschooling journey and I can tell you it does not get any easier... We still struggle with time management (we'll, I'd say that's mostly me) and we just need to keep seeking for ways to make things work.

and this is what I love about our set up...

We all keep on learning. And we do it as a family.

Then we find ways to make learning fun!

Last week, I shared the activities we had at the Abu Dhabi Science Festival. It was a week-long affair and we were glad we were able to partake in the activities for 2 days.

The Science Festival was held at the AL Bahar Corniche, Abu Dhabi. Entry was not free, but it was affordable.

Each adult (aged 16+) needs to pay AED 5 ($1.36) and a child aged 5 to 15 has to pay AED 10 ($2.72). The ticket includes 1 bookable workshop, an indoor theater show and loads of outdoor fun activities. Babies and kids up to age 4 can enter for free.

There were lots of activities we had to go for 2 days.

There were also booths that catered for innovation entries of different learning institutions and government offices. It was inspiring to see their innovative ideas and really sparked interest with the kids.

Enjoy the video clip I made to summarize the activities we had.
