This is another character I did about a year ago as part of a commission themed on Peru going to the Football World Cup, Russia 2018. So the idea was using elements from the Peruvian Folklore mixed with either landmarks from Russia or WorldCup elements.
This character is based on a series of head statues found in ruins of the Chavín culture, they're supposed to represent mythical beings. Since they're usually embedded in walls, I made the character look like if it was made from stone bricks, although Chavín culture had nothing to do with Machu Picchu, the client insisted in placing it in there while looking at the Champion's Cup.
