It's all in the sky

Night sky

What does "night sky" mean? Is there any difference between a sky at night or during daytime except for the light that differs and we might have a different look at it if we look at all?
If you ask me we can see during the day exactly the same as at night. The weather circumstances make us see more or less, brighten up or leave us in the dark.

During the day we watch at the moon but the sun?
It must be there somewhere behind the clouds, the grey but we can not see it. Not even on those days I saw it "arise".

It's longer ago I saw the moon at night and some stars.
I live on the country side so I should be able to see them. They are there somewhere. Hidden behind the clouds since we did not pick them out of the sky.

The moon is what you are watching at on the photo and the one brightens up our days.
"How come we can see it", my youngest asked. We learn moons only shine at night but that isn't right. If nothing would move, turn around, everything would always look the same.
