♨️40 Weeks/280 Days Using Steemit: 4 Weekly Blog...♨️

!

This week is the 40th week since i joined Steemit and the Steem blockchain and as per tradition where i like to blog my progress and experiences i will show how much i have gained in terms of SP, following and posts as well as my opinions on the "Steemian of the Month" where i hand pick bloggers who create good content and contribute to the community and the Steem blockchain. You can see the previous 4 weekly blog HERE.

Following

In the past 4 weeks i have gained a total of 45 new followers going from 738 to 783 but i am unsure of how many of these new followers are bots.

Reputation

This is a metric which i may stop recording as it is so slow to increase although making better content would help to elevate my reputation, i have had an increase of around 0.25 which is a very small increase indeed.

Posts

I have let my activity slip in the past 4 weeks and have had a 130 increase in posts with 11 of those being authored posts.

Steem-Power

I have changed strategies since the price of Steem and SBD has fallen and therefore have not added the usual amounts of SP and have instead held on to the SBD with the hope that SBD will eventually pump and allow me to leverage the amount of SP i can acquire. I have added 4.474 to my SP from SP rewards and currently have 9.175 SBD worth around 9.268 Steem so you could say i have added 13.742 which is still a decrease from the previous 30 or so from 4 weeks before.

Steemian of the Month

It is never easy picking out those deserving of this award (if you can call it that) and this time is no different i have narrowed down a list of 3 people with whom i have interacted with and with whom i follow and in no particular order; below are my Steemians of the month.

 • @nanzo-scoop: This is a someone who many would call a veteran as he joined the Steem blockchain way back in May 2016.Myself and @nanzo-scoop have similar interests which includes crypto and sports which is why i follow him and why he is on this list. He has recently got back in to the gym with the goal of being "Fit at Forty" to which i wish him all the best and look forward to seeing his progress. Not only does he contribute great content to the Steem blockchain he is one of few whales that actually interact with his following. To give a glimpse of @nanzo-scoops's content here is a post from him which is titled "[vlog] Fit@40 diary - Entry #2: Hunger pangs and 'Hangry' day!" he also has an account just for fitness called @fitat40.

 • @alexbeyman: He first joined Steemit in July 2016 so is quite the veteran, Alex blogs about various things which includes gaming and vlogs he also has a series called "Stickman Adventure" where his following determines the plot, he also uses drones and various techniques in his vlogs and takes a professional approach to his content creation. Here is a recent blog from Alex which is titled "Day Trip to McMenamins Kennedy School for some Drinks and an Outdoor Soak".

 • @adept: Unfortunately @adept is no longer with us as he passed away about 5-6 weeks ago, he first joined Steemit in September 2016 and quickly established himself as an innovator and developed numerous applications for the Steem blockchain starting with thesteemitshop.com where you can purchase Steemit related products and paraphernalia and an unfinished SMT (Smart Media Token) project similar to Ethereums ERC20 protocol. The following post which is titled "My List of Steem Related Domains and Project Ideas!" will give you some idea of how much @adept contributed to the Steem blockchain. Rest in Peace @adept.
