The Thanh Ha Terracotta Park is to be found about 3 Km to the west of the Ancient Town of Hoi An. It was constructed in 2011 as a tribute to the architect Nguyen Van Nguyen, famous traditional architect who was born here. It covers an area of about 6,000 square metres and is divided into 5 areas; the Nam Dieu village, the Creativity Workshop, a Trade Promotion area, the Pottery Museum and An Outdoor Exhibition site.
The park is essentially a village and the terracotta bricks and tiles can be seen everywhere. In the centre is a museum dedicated to the manufacture of the specific tiles used in the Ancient town of Hoi An. The museum is designed to show how the old craftsmen lived. Their houses had all the necessary workings of bric and tile manufacture. The featured kiln, a potter’s wheel, and a workshop.

The level of craftsmanship here is remarkable. There are terracotta replicas of some of the world’s most famous structures: the Leaning Tower of Pisa; the Taj Mahal; Sydney Opera House; the White House; the Great Pyramids; and Notre Dame Cathedral; all constructed entirely in clay.
The park is open daily from 8.30am to 5.30pm.
