This is the round-about and straight ahead is what the locals call the high street, but it's correct name is Avenida de la Constitucion. Here is the Benalmadena center – if you like.

There are lots of shops and eateries. This is where the more affluent locals eat, shop and hang-out. And as with any city or town center, you get the tourists too. There really isn’t much to do. The shops here are pretty basic. But food – ah, you get quite a range of international cuisine – Thai, Chinese, Italian, Mediterranean, Indian, Mexican, Spanish, of course, and then there’s Burger King and I am sure I missed out a few others.

We tried the Chinese restaurant on High Street. Their menu is almost the same as the other Chinese Restaurants. The food was nothing to get excited about. And the service was – let’s just say there’s room for improvement.

The Spanish eat late. The crowd comes in at about 10pm. We dined a bit earlier. When we arrived, we were about the only ones there. By the time we left, the Chinese restaurant was quite busy but the neighbouring restaurants were still empty.

This was taken close to midnight on a Saturday.
