This month's Blog of the Month really did seem to get our Silver Bloggers going. We had seven entries that met all the criteria and two that didn't because either the links were not dropped in Discord or in the comments on the announcement post.
But first
The usual bit of housekeeping: the number of Silverbloggers continues to increase and we're now at nearly 1,330. That said, activity seems to have slid a little and it's probably because of the Northern Hemisphere summer (you lucky people) and the way Hive (crypto) has tanked. That said, it did have a mini-spike this week, so fingers crossed.
As always - a thank you
To everybody who contributes to making this a fun community and especially to our delegators. Right now we have about 8,200HP in delegations which means that the value of our votes on members blogs has some real value.
The team pulled in
You know, there's a first time for everything and I think that with this #bom, all the Silver Bloggers in the backroom had memories to share.
The Dude @mondoshawan took us back to chalk boards and "proper" telephones while @lizelle reminded us of how we used to "go" to the theatre of the mind.
Who remembers video and phone boxes? @coquicoin did although when she found the phone cards, she was looking for something else. I, on the other hand, went down a memory lane of a different sort, and one I trust today's young folk will never experience. Finally, our mad Scot, @tengolotodo, sealed everything with a kiss.
Now, for what you've all been waiting for -
As I mentioned, we had a record number of entries, some of which didn't meet all the criteria. Two of these, we all agreed, deserve special mention:
Playing in the streets
Who remembers that? And playing outside until it got dark? @ifarmgirl does, and more - like swimming in natural rivers and picking up sticks...
Hard, brave lessons
This was the theme running through one of our "younger" Silver Bloggers' first contribution to #bom. @nickydee reflected on both challenges and taking a deep breath and being brave. She's still doing that and we are delighted she's chosen to be part of our community to feel safe in.
Runners up
Who remembers doing that? I do, and @annafenix most certainly does. Her entry reminding us of the carefree time and music of the 70s and 80s.
This photograph, especially the clothes, reminded me of my teenage years.

I don't regret living in that analog era, on the contrary, I feel a lot of nostalgia and I would like to return even for a moment to those wonderful moments of my life.
As she approaches her diamond jubilee, she reflects on becoming a woman and on being a young adult in Venezuela in the 70s and 80s.
Last but not least
Again, the team's choice was unanimous.
The 70's, 80's and 90's were the best years of my life. We had good clean fun
So, Silver Mamma Chef told us about playing records, home movies and Kodak moments never to be repeated, let alone caught on camera.
