Vibrating in and out of Harmony (Tuning your Instrument 3)

When something feels good, we are vibrating in harmony with it.

We have conversations with people and if we leave feeling good, the conversation, and most likely the person we were talking with, were vibrating at a similar frequency as we were. Sometimes we are in the mood for a certain song, and other times the same song doesn’t nothing for us, it’s all about what frequency we are tuned to. Sometimes an idea sounds great and a few weeks later when we think about it again, we think it’s nonsensical. This all depends on how we are vibrating at the moment.

We have what’s vibrating internally which depends on our thoughts and emotions and all comes back to our focus. Then we have what’s outside of us that affects our vibration to various degrees. Nature tends to have a calming, grounding vibration that gently pulls us towards it and will help us to balance ourselves. The city, on the other hand, has a more imposing vibration that can be a bit more forceful, but can also be a lot more exhilirating, albeit challenging for some. Neither is better or worse, but there is something to be said for recognizing what you are tuned to and what you want to be tuned to.

What we are tuned to and what we want to be tuned to are not always the same thing, but we can always work to tune ourselves to what we want to be tuned to. How much work it takes depends on how bad we want it and how deeply ingrained these contradictory vibrations are. Even if we have a hard time tuning ourselves exactly as we like, any progress always feels good, so there is no need to feel hopeless if progress comes slowly.

Diet, sleep, social circles, habits, thought patterns, hobbies and lifestyle choices have a huge impact on our vibration and can also be very indicative of where we are vibrationally. We want to be in harmony with ourselves, first and foremost. If we can do that, we can usually find a way to be at peace with what’s around us. This can be more difficult than one would think as we spend years, decades even, not knowing what we want and practicing different habits and thoughts that contradict each other.

Progress comes from removing these contradictory vibrations after we decide with certainty who we really are and what we really desire and then focus on that and move towards it with more and more consistency.
