La Bufala
Nice corner shop looking out onto a mall area with some other stores around it
At the recommendation of @phamished I headed here with my partner for a nice dinner out. We've both been in a bit of an Italian mood for the last little while, and it was really nice to have somewhere to go that was nearby.
It was fairly quiet, but it was also quite early so that's to be expected, and while we were there quite a few other groups came in and by the time we left it was probably half full.
Nice spacious dining area, with an open view to the pizza oven and prep area
The day that we were there they had Pizza Campagnola on the special's board, which is what I went with. My partner decided on going with their Bolognese with tagliatelle, but also requested that it was low on oil as she'd been struggling with keeping oily foods down. Unfortunately it was still quite oily, but they were happy to take it back and drain it to a clean plate. After that it was delicious though, and she kept it down, and even enjoyed the leftovers the next day too.
My pizza from the wood fired oven
I can't remember exactly what was on the pizza, but the buffalo mozzarella, ham and salami all worked well together with the other toppings. It was quite a nice pizza, although the one larger burn mark was a little larger than I'd like and made for a section that wasn't really edible.
Overall though, it was quite a good night out, and the atmosphere of the restaurant was quite good and we both left with leftovers for the next day.
