Blog of the Month
We are so happy to say that we have had a record number of entries in this month's BOM. This includes those of our team members who have all, for the first time, contributed to the challenge with our non-eligible entries.
But, there regrettably always is a but!
Many of the entries, some of them great, are not eligible because they didn't comply with the rules.
Mainly in one of these two
- Use #BoM - blog of the month - as your first tag.
- Share the link to your entry in the comments of this post and in our Discord channel which is open to subscribed members only.
The theme
This month our theme could not be other than Love. But I think if there is one thing that all of us silver bloggers agree on, it is that love has nothing to do with the commercial aspect that revolves around Valentine's Day. And overall all the contributions had a good reflective aspect of what true love is.
There was a total of 17 contributions. Including those of the four members of the Admin and Mod team. Also, seven contributions were not eligible for prizes but we think some of them are worth mentioning.
Special mentions
First of all, Silver Farm Girl, we all agreed that her entry about expressions of love was a winner post, but she had one of the omissions, I referred to.
More often than not, love is expressed in the simplest forms of things, acts, words or anger even. And it takes a little more ounce of reflective thinking to understand and realize those are actually expressions of love.
Then we have @dswigle, who still needs to figure out her silver name and who wrote such a beautiful blog about love.
My tree of life is filled with branches, that branch off from other branches. Mother Nature has it all figured out. My family tree isn't perfect, but, I wouldn't trade it for anything.
And a third mention is for Silver Bronze who wrote about how she is still contemplating the facets of love despite being married for over forty years.
Couples working it out together is the only effective way to go, it takes effort, good communication and the want to keep relationships to make it work.

In third place
Silver Mamma Chef or should I call her Silver Mamma this time, if you want to know why, read her entry about how does one define love.
So, take care of oneself first, love oneself first, then one can love others with all one's emotional being.
Then there is true love which a commitment between two people, or husband and wife who enjoy and respect each other unconditionally.
In second place
Our mad Silver Scot, surprised us (though not me so much) with a Love twist and his constant love for the Glasgow Rangers, football team.
As we go through our various stages of life, we love many people, we love our parents, our siblings, our partners. Generally speaking, love fluctuates and comes in and out of our lives.
For me though, there has always been one constant love, from as far back as my memory goes.
And the winner is...
A Silver Blogger who just chose her silver name a few days ago, Silver Candy, who in her post declares herself to be an eternal lover of love and talks about the importance of love in various aspects of life, but especially about the value of friendship and love for friends.
Friendship is linked to affection and how good it is to be surrounded by people who show their love without expecting anything in return. How nice it is to laugh, dream, make plans, go out, have a drink, dance and collaborate in those moments of difficulty when you need that helping hand the most.
