Fewer folk went back in time with this month's Blog of the Month than the last two themes. We had still had a total of 15 entries, three of which didn't qualify and from the team which, of course, is not eligible for a prize. But first
The usual bit of housekeeping: the number of Silver Bloggers is still slowly creeping up but remains short of the magic 1,500 subscribers. Activity is hard to judge as Hive - and crypto generally - rises and dips and as life happens for our Silver Bloggers.
As always - a thank you
To everybody who contributes to making this a fun community and especially to our delegators. Suddenly the value of delegations to the community account has shot up and is over 9K which means that the value of our votes on members' blogs has some real value.
In August, we put our money where our mouths are, and in this post reminded you how we use your delegations and how we say thank you to our delegators. In more than just gifs!!
The team's contribution
This month, there was only one team contribution from Silver-Blond Lizzie whose heart-wrenching story echoes the theme of many of the contributions.
The business end
The quality of contributions this month was such that we had no outright winner after the team had voted. With help from @lizelle's hubby who developed a weighting system for the votes at first, second and third place, as well as special mentions, we have a more objective system for picking prize winners.
Special mention
We were all especially touched by @carolinacordoza's looking back which looks forward to her wedding anniversary this later year. Please accept her invitation and share in her enjoyment of her recreated and pre-wedding festivities. So touched was our Founder, that she will be awarding a special prize of 5 Hive for this contribution.
Runners up
There is a poignancy to both of these contributions.
@ifarmgirl's Never Again.. is a tale of dashed dreams and loss of self, hopefully regained. Then they're @eylz619's lament pondering how different she might have been had she not chosen to turn down the opportunity of a lifetime.
