The Place That Tugs Most At My Heart

I could choose many of the beaches along the Great Ocean Road as *most special * - I have memories on all of them, from when I was a kid, to last week. It's my home - my heart beats to the sound of the waves. I can't tell you how special the southern ocean is - out of all the oceans and beaches I've seen on my travels, none have the vibes of the ocean that slaps on the shores of the beaches of the Great Ocean Road. It's freaking magnificent.

Favorite Views in my Town - SB Chronicles #3

In my small community of Sisters, Oregon there is a road on the edge of town that has some spectacular views. It is a long stretch of road with plenty of area to pull over and admire the views. The main attraction here is the mountain peaks known as The Three Sisters. Of course this is where the town derives its name from as it is only a scant 12 miles to the closest peak. Follow along as I share some pictures and stories of why this is one of my favorite places in my town. You will also see how the scenery changes through the seasons. 🙂

The Silverbloggers Chronicles - Prompt #03: San Luis Beach

Surely the beach, to which I want to invite you today, will never be in the thread or in the reviews of the best beaches in the world. Nor, surely, is it the best beach in the state of Sucre, the state where I live, which has beaches as beautiful and lush as Playa Medina, Mochima, Playa El Castillo or Puipuy. But it is the most endearing for me and that's why I want to invite you to spend a day there. Come with me to Playa San Luis.

What's the special place in your hometown ?

After a long time, I got an opportunity to visit a very special place in my home town, a natural treadmill in the mountains filled with lush green, with some memories from three decades back. My friend regularly goes for walk at this place and after repeated requests, I decided to join him in the morning, instead of going to play football.

Going back to the park of my childhood, I get sweet images of my paternal grandmother and my mother recreating that picnic space in the meadow, with the tablecloth spread on the grass, the sandwiches in the center and the family around eating what was prepared, it is such a clear memory full of love, security, home.

My father would do us the favor of taking us, and the father of a friend would bring us back. We went to the cinema, which was my first time there. We walked through the crowd that was there that day (it was Saturday night), and I don't think I ate anything because I didn't have enough money, but just visiting was enough to make me happy, and it's a memory that I keep alive in my mind.
