Goddess Of Darkness Part Seven: Flight Of The Goddess

When we left Bruce and Lilac, they were safely tucked away in large dog kennels, on a plane. But what are they going to find at the end of this part of their journey? Will they finally be truly free?
Lilac was grateful that Bruce had not noticed the address on the kennels. He would have insisted on getting out to stretch his legs, and she doubted either of them would have been able to get back in. She was so stiff already!
Still, she couldn't help but smile. Despite her years of world travel, she had never been to London! Bruce would forgive her for talking him into sleeping in his kennel when she treated him to a tour of Europe. Wouldn't he? Of course he would, he always did!

If you have yet to do so, I encourage you to read this story from the beginning.

Both woke several times, and Bruce tried to get out, but his fingers were too big to work the latch from the inside. Lilac pretended to be asleep when he called to her.

Finally the plane landed! Both of them were so eager to get out, it was hard to lie still. They were loaded onto a luggage cart by two large men, then taken directly to a car, which Lilac realized with a gasp was a limousine. Not again!

An older man got out of the driver's seat, nicely dressed in comfortable clothes. "Thank you for bringing them right away." He said, handing the baggage man some bills.

As Bruce's kennel was being loaded into the backseat, the man called out "How are my Princesses today? Welcome home!". He then peered into Lilac's kennel, and she decided to try growling again.
He took a step back, surprised.

The baggage man said "Don't worry, it's just the tranquilizer, it makes them disoriented. Let it wear off before you let them out, and it'll be fine. I've seen it before."

"But they have never growled in their lives!" Said the older man.
"Give them time, they had a long trip, and a heavy dose of tranquilizer." Said the baggage man.

The older man nodded, frowning, not trying to look in either kennel again. He got in, and drove. Carefully at first with many stops, then quite fast.

The drive seemed to go on forever. When he finally stopped, he got out and thought for a second. "I'll just open the kennels, and leave the car open..." He carefully opened Lilac's kennel, and to his shock and horror, saw a stuffed animal partially covering a pretty, middle aged woman!

To be continued...
