Belgian Play-Offs Week 4 Results | 4W-2L-0P

This is a weekly overview of my personal handicapping and live betting results on teams from the Belgian Jupiler League during the Play-Offs with some insights on my overall approach.

This was a very low volume mid-week. The idea of betting the play-off was to not have them as a priority, keep stakes on the lower side and see if it works to make profit purely on my experience without putting in anywhere near the effort of what I do during the regular season. Posting my resusts as they are on Steemit helps me to at least stay very disciplined and not take any crazy bets. I only watched a couple matches because I had some more important things planned and was not going to give those up as I'm used to. So far so good even though the ~1 unit overall profit means nothing on such small sample.

The idea I talked about in week 3 where the leader gets a hammer on the head with the points halving did not come through. I have Anderlecht +0.25 @ 2.1 as my biggest pre-game bet this week which was a ok despite losing. Because Anderlecht failed to win, Club Brugge got a lot of headspace which made it a lot easyer for them to crush Charleroi who haven't won in a long long time. It's not the first time that a smaller team that makes the play-offs gets totally crushed 10 matches long. These teams usually have a smaller player base and have had their peak during the regular season often against weaker teams or top teams who are not giving 100% because of European matches. Fading these type of teams is a note I will make for next season. By now the odds have been adjusted on Charleroi.

Week 5 Already starts tonight with one of the more interesting Play-off 2 matches. Zulte-Waregem and Kortrijk are both offensive minded teams with scoring strikers and is likely to result in a high scoring game. I do not have anything planned this weekend, so I will be able to watch most of the matches.
