A friend is one of the important ingredients in our life. They spice up your boring day and brighten up the dark moments. If you found a real one, appreciate and cherish them because they are hard to find. Our world today is full of individuals that will try to take advantage of you and they are usually a friend in disguise. These people will pretend to be nice in front of you but start talking things behind your back. They only show kindness as long as they need something from you and never hesitate to dump you in the end.
I guess the most hurtful betrayal is when it doesn’t come from your enemies.
During our childhood, we often thought that everybody can be our friend just like our playmates and classmates. This statement is somehow true because we must believe that each of us has the potential to offer a friendship. As we grow older, we realized that everyone can say hi but not all of them will stay.
Have you lost contact with someone dear to you? Have you ever experienced to ride a train and saw your close friend (before) but both of you acted like a complete stranger? Maybe, it is what we called change. Some people are only meant to give excitements in our lives for a short period of time, and then eventually they'll leave.
On the other hand, there are still individuals who will be true to us. Though most of the friendships started with liking each other, there are also friendships started with disliking the person. I'm a living proof of it because my best friend today is the person that I don't like before. Does she know about it? Yes, and instead of getting mad, she was just laughing the whole time. I think friendship means that you are willing to accept the past even if it's against you and tolerate each other's differences.
Friendship is not about how it started, what matters the most are the stories that you've shared and built together along the way.
What about in Steemit? Is it possible to find a trustful friend on this platform? There's no doubt that finding a real friend in the online world is rare but finding one is still feasible. I am saying this because I found some of them. Their thoughtfulness is what I appreciate because they never failed to keep in touch despite their busy schedules. Whenever I have problems, they are there to give me comfort and help in every way that they can. I am grateful to God for allowing me to meet these amazing people.
A true friend is not always measured by how long have you known each other, it is the ability to stick around when everything screws up.
To be a real friend is showing your presence even if you are physically absent. No miles are too far and no boundaries can stop you, you will remain his friend no matter what. You are there to be his support system but you also know when enough is enough specially if he’s going in a wrong path. He can be clumsy and susceptible to make bad decisions but you are still there and never leave his side. Both of you are influencing each other with good deeds and bringing out the best version of yourselves.
A true friendship is being happy every time he is flying high instead of getting envy of his success.
They will encourage you towards personal growth and willing to listen with an open mind. Instead of judging your choices in life, they will try to understand the situation. These people will keep on loving you no matter how unreasonable you are sometimes. They are like toothpaste who never failed to come in every tight squeeze.
