The Road To SteemFest | Are all these Steemians going for business or pleasure? Check out their posts! (Roundup Part 1)

In less than two months the biggest Steem Event of the year will take place: SteemFest 4 in Bangkok! In order to break the ice @anomadsoul decided last year to introduce the #roadtosteemfest tag which is used by Steemians who are planning to attend SteemFest - writing about a weekly topic so we can all read each others thoughts and already feel like we had the chance to get to know one another before we meet at the actual event.

In his post @anomadsoul introduces the current topic as follows:

  • Are you going to Bangkok because, like me, expect to find a crypto babe wealthy as hell and win her heart?
  • So you want to attend Steem Fest 4 because you need funding for one of your projects?
  • Do you want to go to Thailand so you can meet a whale who can get you out of anonimity?
  • Is this trip your opportunity to go go to a new country and explore its touristic spots and get - to know the local culture?
  • Is jumping on a plane to this Steem massive meet up your chance to meet all those people you spend countless hours a week conversating and fooling around in the different chat rooms?
  • What are you going to Steem Fest for? Business or Pleasure?

Check out the posts below to see what the first 10 people who are participating in the #roadtosteemfest tag have answered! Enjoy the answers and get to know the motives before even shaking hands in Bangkok.

@fitinfun has an answer to the question which is already slightly hinted at by knowing her username:

I’m always working and have been all my life. Every day I get to open my eyes and try again is fun for me. Opening my eyes to a new Bangkok (later Chiang Mai) day and getting to see other STEEMers will make those all days even more fun.

@kaerpediem just wants to absorb the Steem Spirit and shares on the question:

It's a thin line for me. They crossover and I can't decide where one starts and the other ends. In fact, SteemFest is one and the same for me. It is both Business and Pleasure. It is a Business that's Pleasure to me.

@joythewanderer responds to the question in her vlogging format (strongly paraphrased):

I'm a shy person, I think there will be less people than on other SteemFests, but still a lot of people, I don't know if there will be many people from other meet-ups, and sometimes I'm shy to look people in the eye, but since I already know people it will be a bit easier for me to connect

@karinxxl is going for pleasure mostly, preferably with a drink in her hand:

So for me the reason of going is pleasure. I enjoyed talking to likeminded people who also have a crypto heart and see the potential in it, but talk about it in a normal way, preferably while consuming an alcoholic fine treat of life.

@priyanarc has been in Bangkok before and shares some of her memories:

If I manage myself this time for SteemFest4 this will be a memorable trip for me, not only for business but also pleasure.. May be I can't express my excitement but honestly speaking I am looking forward for some opportunities to make this trip happen. Conversation, meet and greet with steemians , learn about crypto more

@louis88 is looking forward to a a long awaited holiday:

But my trip to Bangkok will be mainly and for the most part a pleasure. I see the trip as my holiday, which I haven't had for some time. To see the newly won friends from last year again, that would make me very happy. But I think that not everyone who was in Krakow last year will travel to Bangkok again this year.

@vaelriey has been wanting to go to Bangkok forever, so guess what the answer is!

Steemfest 4 is my opportunity to visit Thailand. Sightseeing, food tour, cafe hopping, these are definitely on my list! I'm already preparing myself for this by watching tons of travel videos on Youtube to plan for my own travel, and gosh there's so much to see and try!

@bugavi thinks traveling to a new country is a pleasure, but sees a business side as well:

But I think everyone goes to SteemFest and thinks that in addition to meeting wonderful people, they also make friends with whales so that after the end of this festival of other people, there will be a little activity on your account. Of course, this is not because you want to use people, but just everyone wants support and interaction (that's my opinion)

@surpassinggoogle shares in percentages what he thinks SteemFest will be for him:

[It's going to be like 70% business, 30% pleasure. I don't know if I'm going to be able to have pleasure in Bangkok because I am in rehabilitation and my body needs a lot of rest.(@surpassinggoogle/dqovdnhm)

@ramengirl is very explicit: SteemFest will be just pleasure for her!

When I heard Steamfest was going to be held in Bangkok I was so happy so I had to scream. I'm so excited to go to Bangkok, go to places I haven't been yet, and try all my favorite Thai food, and the most importantly can't wait to share those with my Steemit friends. So... that's right I'm going to Steamfest just for my pleasure :)
