Hey team! Just sitting here browsing the rumor sites about the Apple event in March and the possible launch of the 2nd generation AirPods. I'm really thinking about getting a pair, as a lot of people have them. I have some concerns about buying in though.
Lost and found
How easy is it to lose those things? Today, I read a tweet from Rene Ritchie of TWiT, who said he lost his AirPods. Is there a "find my AirPod" app? Have any of you misplaced yours? I can't imagine anyone jogs wearing them unless the fit inside the ear is much stronger than it appears. I've never tried them out, but they look as if they're barely hanging in there. I almost get the impression that one strong wind and BINGO! they're gone.
Fill her up!
AirPod battery life. I believe it's quoted at 5 hours for listening to music or podcasts and just 2 hours of talk time? That makes it something you would use off and on. 8 hours of juice would seem a minimal amount to get you through the day. I'm hopeful that the upgraded models will improve on the runtime.
One more thing...
Any quirks or performance issues? When I got my Beats wireless headphones, I read online about an odd little problem. If you tried to use them in cold weather, they would shut off. I've never heard about this with other headphones and had to try it out. So, I went out on a freezing winter day, and sure enough, they shut down. The headphones only came back on after I took them inside and warmed them up. I know you love your AirPods, but what features would you like to see in the next version?
Thank you so much!
