Zues Street Greek
Storefront in the Westfield CBD, part of 'food on five'
For variety this time around, on my way to gaming I had a hankering for some greek food, and saw that there was a Zues in amongst the other options.
They've just started with a new range and it was difficult to select between some of them, but I eventually settled on the Spicy Beef. Wagyu beef kefta, fennel and cucumber slaw, chilli tzatziki, golden pepper salsa, and sriracha.
nice and tightly wrapped, but also easy to peel the wrapping back
When they say spicy, this was actually spicy. It was quite nice, but a little heavy on the punch. I could still taste the tzatziki, just, but the balance between spicy and everything else was a bit out. It had a good amount of meat in it though, and it was very tender and had a good flavour to it. Sadly though, because of the spicy, the slaw vanished into the heat. The pita was quite good, despite my initial thoughts that it was a bit too thick.
At $11.50, it's probably right at the top of the range for value, and it certainly won't become a regular, but it will be one of those places I'll visit if I'm in the area and feel like greek food.
