This and the previous two episodes are actually my favorite of the entire series! I hope you will enjoy reading as much as I enjoyed writing them! Our heroes are really in a tight spot now! They have just been discovered, after stowing away on an International flight in dog kennels... The owner of the dogs had brought them home, then opened up Lilac's kennel.
If you have yet to do so, I encourage you to read this story from the beginning.
"What is this!" He exclaimed.
"I'm sorry Sir, our lives are in great danger. This was the only way we could escape." Said Lilac.
The man opened the other kennel and looked in, seeing Bruce. "Where are my dogs?!?!?!" He bellowed.
Lilac quickly told him that they were safe, and that the shipping address was left with them. Bruce and Lilac, now stretching very sore muscles, looked around. They were on a huge estate, with a beautiful house.
"Come inside with me!" Commanded the man.
They looked at each other, shrugged, and followed. He had already opened the door, not bothering to check if they were coming. He went into a large room lined with book shelves, and sat down.
"Sit! He shouted at his new guests. They promptly did so, despite wishing for an opportunity to walk around and limber up their muscles.
Pulling out an expensive cell phone of the latest model, he proceeded to make a call.
"Sir, we didn't mean any harm!" Bruce protested.
Charles gave him a stern look, and held up his hand in a signal to stay put. Bruce did so, but was obviously very worried. He relaxed when Charles asked for the Lima airport.
Charles asked for someone who might know how to locate two missing dogs - very expensive champion Saint Bernards who had recently bred with the winner of the main dog show in Madison Square Garden.
He was put on hold for a few minutes, during which he glared fiercely at Bruce and Lilac. "If anything has happened to them, you will find that you will experience it tenfold..." He said in a low, dangerous voice.
He was then alerted by the ticket agent who had put him on hold that she had the manager of the baggage department waiting to speak with him. The man was stuttering with agitation as he assured Charles that a janitor had discovered the dogs, and they were still sleeping.
Charles had a lengthy discussion with the manager of the baggage department and gave him his home address, and directions to the house. Charles then thanked him, and hung up.
"The manager of the baggage department is so embarrassed he will be accompanying Princess and Diana personally, sitting next to them the entire way, and delivering them right to my door.
I just hope that they get here in time." He said, slumping into the comfortable chair, all fight having disappeared from him.
Bruce and Lilac were confused at the man's sudden change, but remained quiet.
He looked up at them with tired, red eyes. "Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Charles Drozer." '
