The Artist
In 2020 Dordrecht hosted the 'Meeting of Styles' Art festival after the successful "Iconoclash" Art festival back in 2018. One of the invited artists was 'Erwtje' (this translates to: small pea 😁). Erwtje's art has a very typical style, and always involves it's 'Bobbly headed' graffiti artists doing what a graffiti artists do best... Painting graffiti on trains 😄
The Artwork
For the "Meeting of Styles", Erwtje made this mural of a train marshalling yard by night, which is chosen perfectly because the overpass is next to the main marshalling yard of Dordrecht Station. The trains shown in this mural are of the "DDM" type of railway operator NS. This train type went out of commission back in 2011.

Meeting of Styles
Back in August 2020, Dordrecht hosted the "Meeting of Styles" on a parking lot at Weeskinderdijk below the overpass. Here, after the success of the "Iconoclash" festival of 2018, the best artist where invited to create art on the 1400 square meters of pillar supporting the overpass. This spot can be perfectly visited if you are on the StreetArt tour of the Iconoclash festival.
