If there is a God, why do so many bad things happen? @ecotrain QOTW

Before I get started, I’m expecting that some will not agree with me and I respect it. It’s not my intention to hurt and triggered the feelings of others. The things that I’m going to mention are my beliefs and I hope that everybody will respect it as well. I’m not forcing my belief to anyone; I just want to share my thoughts about it. May we all have the peace, harmony, and understandings despite our differences.

The question above is also like asking, “Why does God allow the bad things to happen?”. Is God to blame for human suffering? The Bible provides answers to it. It is written in James 1:13, “When under trial, let no one say: ‘I am being tried by God.’ For with evil things God cannot be tried, nor does He Himself try anyone.”

I do believe that problems can make us stronger and wiser, but I can’t accept that these problems were made by God to test us.

Just think of it, did God created landslides, flash floods, and global warming? It is not God who created these things, it is us who made it.

There will be no landslides and flash floods if there are enough trees to hold the soil and absorb the waters from a heavy rain. The illegal loggers are cutting down trees for the sake of business and making more money without thinking the harmful effects that it could bring. There will be no Global warming if we are not polluting the air. Deforestation and burning of fossil fuels like coal and gas to create electricity and to power up the cars will release CO2 in the atmosphere.

How about the wars and several crimes such as theft, harassment, murder, kidnapping, and rape (and many more)? Are bad people created by God? Does God manipulate our mind to kill each other?

God created us with a complete freedom to think and decide for ourselves including the Angels. There is an Angel who questioned the God’s sovereignty. He doubted if God is capable to be the ruler, and instead of being mad and perish this Angel, God let him prove his accusation.

This Angel started to brainwash the other Angels to rebel against God. These rebellious Angels were expelled from Heaven, so where did they go? They are here on Earth, messing up with people just like what they did to Adam and Eve. They want us to think that God is behind all of our sufferings, they want us to think that God never cared.

1 John 5:19 revealed who is currently manipulating the world, “The whole world is lying in the power of the wicked one”. I am not surprised by the horrible things that are happening around me because it is not God ruling this world, not yet.

The rebellious Angels were not able to prove their accusation because the world became in the worst situation since they took it over. Knowing that they are running out of time, they will do everything to make us believe that God never exists and He is just a part of some old stories.

The Judgment Day will come and no one knows the exact date of Armageddon, so does God forget us? If He really cares, then why does He still allow these bad things to happen? Why does God is not putting end to our sufferings?

2 Peter 3:9 answered it already, “He is not slow concerning his promise, as some people consider slowness, but He is patient with you because He does not desire anyone to be destroyed but desires all to attain to repentance”.
