After the two posts with wild breathtaking music by the jazzfriday authors @erniegreenhill and @w74, a bit of quiet and timeless sound is now coming to your ears. The Norwegian exceptional musician Jan Garbarek has always been influenced by the spiritual roots of his homeland and in the diverse recordings with world musicians radiates the infinity of the Sámi winter at all times. His scale improvisations, usually performed in one key, are of great delicacy, his breathing is endless by means of circular breathing, he is quite capable of dispensing with quills of every kind, and makes his melodies become hymns of eternity. Nach den zwei Posts mit wilder atemberaubender Musik der jazzfriday Authoren @erniegreenhill und @w74 kommt nun noch etwas Ruhe und zeitloser Sound ans Ohr. Der norwegische Ausnahmemusiker Jan Garbarek ist schon immer von den spirituellen Wurzeln seiner Heimat beeinflußt und in den vielfältigen Aufnahmen mit Weltmusikern strahlt jederzeit die Unendlichkeit des samischen Winters hervor. Seine meist in einer Tonart ausgeführten Skalenimprovisationen sind von großer Zartheit, sein Atem mittels Zirkularatmung endlos, auf Schnörksel jeder Art kann er ganz gut verzichten und läßt seine Melodien zu Hymnen der Ewigkeit werden.
