Exploring the South Peninsula

Hi I'm Danny! I'm travelling around the world! Follow my posts.

This post is an example of how varied your weekend can be when you visit Cape Town! This weekend we went exploring the South Peninsula, and here's some of the things we got up to.

The city and the South Peninsula are separated by a series of mountains. The city is a sprawling, modern, and cosmopolitan with the best restaurants and food from all over the world, but take a short (20 minute) journey trip over the mountains and you are in the wilderness miles away from the city.

Firstly we went horse riding on Noordhoek beach

Then we went trekking...

For lunch we stopped for a picnic in one of the vineyards. The massive picnic with cheeses, wine, and bread cost less than ten dollars.

To really see the South Peninsula there is nothing better than sailing around the coast to add another perspective.
