Hi I'm Danny! I'm travelling around the world! Follow my posts.

Today we went on one of the most amazing coastal railway journeys. If you are willing to put up with a little discomfort you can get some really amazing views from the city all the way down the coast to Simon's Town.
The train was falling apart and I know that people can be worried about security in this region. Having said this, if you want to go down to Boulders beach and you can stomach a little discomfort then it's well worth it.
The main reason people visit Simon's Town? The penguins!
The penguins were right next to us nesting on and around this beach, and in fact they are here all year round. It’s quite strange to see them in summer waddling about. These are the same penguins you'd see in Antartica.
The penguins were wild, but not at all fussed by us taking pictures. These penguins on Boulder beach are a huge tourist attraction to the area.
