Of all Dallas’s fine waterfalls Prenn has always been the favourite. Unfortunately it is also the most developed and therefore touristic. It is however, well worth a visit. It is close to Dalat town and therefore has become quite busy. It is though, very impressive, especially in the wet season, when the monsoon rains make it extremely impressive.
The entrance to the falls is not improve by the plethora of vendors selling tacky souvenirs and food. It is also not as wild as it should be in nature. Grass is cut and it’s all a bit neat and tidy. This has become a large site with kayaking, elephant rides, and restaurants.
There is a bumpy cable car riding over the falls for the braver visitor, many choose however, to walk up the stone path that takes you behind the waterfall. Wear sensible footwear and prepare to get them wet. There is a wooden bridge here that sees a constant stream of young locals posing for the professional photographers that work here.
There are also trees house but the ladders up to these are sometimes not in the best of repair.
