Hi I'm Danny! I'm travelling around the world! Follow my posts.

There are 3 iconic landmarks in Rio that you must visit when you are here. Christ The Redeemer, Sugarloaf mountain, and the Two Brothers mountain / Ipanema beach. Today we visit: Christ The Redeemer.
Wherever you are in the city, day or night, you can see Christ The Redeemer watching over you. As night falls it lights up making it even more impressive.
To most of the locals it holds a very strong religious significance. As a tourist it's simply a stunning sight and one you must go and visit.
Another spot you might want to visit for a great view of Christ The Redeemer is Parque Lage, which is next door to the botanical gardens.
For those who are feeling more athletic and want to trek to the top you can do so from here. For everyone else, you can simply enjoy your lunch with a brilliant view.
Once you reach the top of Christ The Redeemer be prepared for the overwhelming number of tourists. Don't let this put you off - find a spot away from everyone else and simply take in the views.
Has anyone else been here? What did you think?
