When it finally arrived, a little late, I had a typical interaction with my period, and by "typical" I mean it was the kind of stereotypical relationship that many girls are subjected to. Menstruation is one of the most common topics with the most beliefs, myths, taboos and shame that women have to deal with. Let's start with that they take away our childhood a little bit and yes, I am aware that we are actually entering adolescence, but they hammer you with the idea that you are now a "miss", "woman", "lady" when you are only between ten and thirteen years old. I didn't mind this aspect so much but I know of many girls who disliked being "women" now, they didn't feel like one.

When I was 28 years old I had a beautiful boyfriend, but there came a time when I didn't want him to touch me, everything bothered me and then I realized that my left side hurt a little, specifically In the area of my breasts, my left breast, it was a stabbing pain at times, something sharp, not so strong that I screamed or anything like that, but it was quite uncomfortable. I was scared, I was worried but I took matters into my own hands and I went to the University Clinical Hospital of Caracas, I made my appointment very early and I was there all day until in the afternoon when I finally They attended, even though I tried to stay calm and be relaxed as if nothing was happening, I was really tense, the doctor when touching me to check for other ailments told me:
Cancer doesn't hurt! If it hurts, it's not cancer! So calm down! Just relax!

The monthly period, pfff.... What a hassle every time.
Besides the practical inconveniences, the use of hygienic bandages, you're also stuck with physical discomfort.
At least I can't imagine there is one woman who doesn't notice her monthly period at all.
It seems automatic, but secretly I do a few things to make this period as pleasant as possible for myself.
For instance, I make sure I have few heavy household chores.
Because who wants to do chores when you're having a stomachache, headache or other physical discomfort?
And not be stuck with all sorts of chores that need to be done. So before that happens, I've done the shopping for a week, the laundry has been washed and the house tidied up.
And of course chocolate.
Don't know if it just me but doesn't make chocolate everything better?😅
