I am one of thousands of people affected by @quinneaker's visionary community the @gardenofeden. As we clean and organize in preparation for a big move towards Eden 2.0, it's time to let go of my own incredible history here:

@quinneaker discovered the Steem blockchain in August 2016, and he hit the ground running.
He told everyone living here at the @gardenofeden about the awesome potential it held - a brand new decentralized social media platform where you actually get PAID to blog, AND it bypassed fiat currency! Say whaaaa?!?!
Of the dozens of people here at the @gardenofeden, he was literally the only one visionary enough to see not only why it was a big deal, but also how it worked.
In fact, he raved about it - which is really saying something, because it takes a lot to impress Quinn. But as a cutting edge revolutionary himself, he knows a game changer when he sees one. He recognized that the Steem blockchain was important and significant, and he championed it since day 1.

And thank god he broke it down for me, because I fell in love.
Quinn was already living the new paradigm economy, and he shared it in countless ways with one and all who came to the @gardenofeden. He created an infrastructure of real freedom and shared with anyone who wanted a taste!
He embodied abundance, generated an incredible surplus everywhere he went, provided for any and every one, and reminded the rest of us that we could do it too. No one had to have a job. No one had to pay for food, or housing, or clothing, or entertainment, or even alcohol because he made his own wine and gave it away. I watched him give of himself freely - his time, resources, wisdom, even his home - and I watched the real power of the exchange when someone was able to truly receive.
It was astounding. I watched him live real values of generosity and consideration, of unconditional love and support without anyone needing to "earn" it first. And of course I enjoyed the benefits of his generosity to my own life, as he had invested countless hours towards encouraging me to power myself up.
From this marvelous example, I was inspired to live the new economy to the best of my ability and understanding as well. I gave myself in service to the cause, finding a niche in the digital realm where what I liked to do all day could also be of benefit to the whole. And in giving I received, and in receiving I had more to give, and that beautiful cycle continues to amplify to this day!
The new paradigm Quinn lived at the @gardenofeden was paralleled in this brand new Steem blockchain - the freedom to be your own boss, creating value for the whole community by contributing your skills and interest, the ability to earn rewards that bypass the whole demonic control matrix of USD and the global military industrial complex it directly supports, a gift economy built on greater values than we have afforded human interactions = transactions in a long time.

It was obvious we needed to get in. Quinn's most basic point was that if you're going to post to social media anyway (which is pretty much everyone), then why not post in a place where you have the potential to be paid for it?
At that time I was already investing lots of time each day on the computer, playing my little service role at the @gardenofeden by contributing to our online presence. When Quinn discovered Steem, he jumped on his computer for 16+ hour days too and told me about every new user and article and tip and trick and strategy for success he found worthy of attention.
What an exciting time to be alive! Remember the thrill of a @berniesanders upvote in summer 2016??? Of doing something different and radical and meaningful??? Of building a community and being part of something new and exciting and profound???
I owe almost my entire Steem experience to Quinn's guidance, passion, and insight especially in those early days - tbh I didn't have the patience to navigate the ins and outs on my own and would have brushed it off completely had he not been so excited about it.
And in perfect poetry, Quinn brought me to the blockchain, and the Steem blockchain brought me closer to Quinn as I learned to express myself more truly than ever before. This is indeed a sacred economy.
AND the rewards from everything we do still get paid forward towards building a better world than ever before FTW!!!
