I felt the need to do a musical foray today - and being so close to Christmas, it seemed like a great time to feature spiritual songs. I hope you enjoy today's foray.

Mary Did You Know - presented by Straight No Chaser
I love this acapella group. In this case, they really presented this beautiful song very well, especially considering the location of filming. I don't often feature this group, but they're worth following if they're new to you.
What Child is This - presented by the Gardiner Sisters
Beautiful voices for this classic. I was delighted to see that they knew all the refrains (which doesn't actually repeat, there's a different set of lyrics for each verse.) They're also slightly truer to the old Greensleeves tune than most - something I really appreciate.
An all-time favorite presented by a wonderful singer!
Silent Night - presented by Enya (in Gaelic)
You can't go too far wrong with Enya. She's so stunningly magical with her Gaelic voice.
Another favorite song by one of my favorite vocalists.
Little Drummer Boy presented - by Peter Hollens and Mike Tompkins
Apparently, I'm really fussy about this song. Many people present it, but it was really hard to find one I liked enough to include today. Peter Hollens is usually a good bet though.

Do You Hear What I Hear - presented by Home Free
As usual, such amazing vocals from these guys. I can listen to them all day!
Here is a song that I heard another class perform back in grade school. It was only last year that I found out the name of the song.
So My Sheep May Safely Graze - by Rod Kuen
Honestly, it's probably not my favorite set of vocals for this - am I allowed to not like the original completely? But it's a beautiful song that deserves more time.
